Blacksburg, VA -- The Virginia Tech women, led by Ieva Kublina's 23 points, put Seton Hall away early in this one, winning for the fourth time in the last five games, 64-40. The Hokies bolted to a 17-4 lead and never looked back.

Kublina was the only player to score in double figures for either team, and she did it quickly, scoring 11 points in the first 11 minutes of the game. She outscored Seton Hall by herself in the first half, pouring in 17 points to just 14 for the Pirates. VT led 31-14 at the break, holding Seton Hall to 4-of-26 (15.4%) from the field.

Seton Hall closed the gap to 39-27 with 13:24 to go, but the Hokies never let them get closer than that, pulling away down the stretch. VT cleared the bench, as eight Hokies played 13 minutes or more, and all 12 players got into the game. Everyone scored but Kirby Copeland and Megan Finnerty.

VT is now 17-4 on the season, 6-4 in the Big East, while Seton Hall falls to 12-8 (4-5). The Hokies get a week off, with their next game being at WVU next Wednesday, February 10th, at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers (15-5, 6-2) are currently second in the Big East, winners of their last six games.
