Beerman's Picks: Week
Three by Ben Shapiro, 09/11/03
Each week this season,
I will be posting a column previewing interesting upcoming matchups
in the Big East, the ACC, and college football in general. All rankings
are from the ESPN/USA
Today Coaches Poll. I don't pick winners (that's too easy), I pick
against
the spread.
Television information comes from
here.
All picks are for entertainment purposes only.
LAST WEEK:
Sorry folks.
Missed the deadline I guess. There was a column, it just
never saw the light of day. Much like part two of my bowl picks
last year and the Beavis and Butthead episodes extolling the glories
of fire, it has been relegated to the shady underworld of bootlegs and
late night reruns. (Note from Will: Beerman learned that material submitted after noon Friday does not see
the light of day -- at least, I THINK he might have submitted it after noon. Whatever, blame me. Here
are last week's picks.)

THIS WEEK:
Oh, what confusing
days we've got in Blacksburg. A pass happy offense may be supporting
a suspect defense. You know what this means right? Yup.
More crowd noise needed! I say this on a bye week because aTm
is an important game. Spend at least two hours screaming yourself
hoarse at the television on Saturday, because those vocal chords had
best be in top shape come Thursday night!
