GAMES OF SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6:
3:30 pm EST
  Fresno State 1-1 (0-0 WAC)
-28.5 #1 Oklahoma 2-0 (0-0 Big XII)
Hanging out in PKs Friday night, I had the dubious privilege of watching the Fresno State - Oregon State game in all of its 8 interception glory.  Sheesh.  Oklahoma's going to tear Fresno apart.  Literally.
Pick: Sooners
7:00 pm EST ESPN2
  East Carolina 0-2 (0-0 CUSA)
-40 #2 Miami 2-0 (0-0 Big East)
I have to say I was impressed.  No one saw it of course, but Florida over Miami was my upset pick of last week.  And I don't care how bad Florida's QB situation was, Miami still came back from down 3TDs in the second half to win.  That's terrifying!
Pick: Miami
12:00 pm EST ABC, GamePlan
  #22 N.C. State 1-1 (0-1 ACC)
off #3 Ohio State 2-0 (0-0 Big 10)
Well the bloom's fallen off this rose a bit has it not?  With all the Maurice Clarett noise still going on in Columbus, it's hard to get a bead on just how good the Bucks are this year.  The Wolfpack, on the other hand, probably just lost a game they could not afford to.  Not if they hope to contend in the ACC.
Pick: tOSU
3:30 pm EST ABC
  #14 Notre Dame 1-0
-10 #7 Michigan 2-0 (0-0 Big 10)
No offense to the Central Michigans and Houstons of this world, but today is when we find out if Michigan is for real.  Chris Perry looks like a baaaaaad man, and this will be his first test to prove his Heisman candidacy.

Frankly, I like Michigan here.  It's at home, and Notre Dame had no business coming back against Wazzou last week.  Unlike certain Pacific Northwest teams, Michigan has a real offense to go with a solid defense, and I don't expect the Wolverines to like down in the second half.

But it's Notre Dame, and they don't get blown out.  Except in bowl games that is, so they'll keep it close.

Pick: Notre Dame
3:30 pm EST CBS
  USC-South 2-0 (0-0 SEC)
-14 #8 Georgia 2-0 (0-0 SEC)
So South Carolina struggles against Bustle's Boyz, then next week rolls through a team coached by a man who with his 99 years of NFL experience has missed the key fact that young college players probably can't effectively run complicated professional schemes.

Georgia.  Well they've got real athletes and they run college schemes.  They are not perfect, but they're exponentially better than anyone USC-South has faced yet this year.  And they're at home.  And it's a conference game.

Pick: USC
8:00 pm EST ABC, GamePlan
  Georgia Tech 1-1 (0-0 ACC)
-23.5 #10 Florida State 2-0 (0-0 ACC)
The more things change, the more they stay the same.  Pencil F$U in for another ACC title.  As usual...
Pick: FSU
8:00 pm EST ABC, GamePlan
  Penn State 1-1 (0-0 Big 10)
-10 #18 Nebraska 2-0 (0-0 Big XII)
There are many subplots to this game, nearly all of them sad or desperate.  Alas, for a time machine...
Pick: PSU
12:00 pm EST ESPN
  Purdue 0-1 (0-0 Big Ten)
-1.5 #21 Wake Forest 2-0 (1-0 ACC)
I had no idea Cinderella was a Baptist!
Pick: Wake
12:00 pm EST
  Connecticut 2-0
-4.5 Boston College 1-1 (0-0 Big East)
Oh, the humanity!  Can you imagine the carnage if UConn wins this game?  Hordes of Boston College fans are likely to hurl themselves bodily into the harbor.  Dogs and cats living together.  Mass hysteria.

I guess here is where we find out just how far along the Huskies have come.

Pick: UConn
