Beerman's Picks: Week Eight by Ben Shapiro, 10/16/03
Each week this season,
I will be posting a column previewing interesting upcoming matchups
in the Big East, the ACC, and college football in general. All rankings
are from the ESPN/USA
Today Coaches Poll. I don't pick winners (that's too easy), I pick
against
the spread.
Television information comes from
here.
All picks are for entertainment purposes only.
LAST WEEK:
Separation
Saturday was a boon to the Hokie Nation. Syracuse went down
hard (again) and things are starting to line up nicely. Would
be nice if something unfortunate were to befall USC and Georgia
though...
Last Week:
11-7-0
Season To Date:
81-71-0
THIS WEEK:
Conference
play gets interesting. It's a Big
Week in the Big Ten, where the six top-25 ranked teams face off
against each other. In the SEC, while the marquee isn't quite
so bright, there are some quality games as well.
But it's a bye week for Hokie football.
And that makes me sad :(
