GAME RECAPJim Druckenmiller passed for one touchdown and Dwayne Thomas ran for another as Virginia Tech shut out Navy, 14-0.
Druckenmiller hit Holmes with a 16-yard pass on the first play of the second quarter to give Virginia Tech a 7-0 lead. Thomas' 28-yard run with 1:55 remaining sealed the win.
Thomas led all rushers with 92 yards on 21 carries for the Hokies (3-2). Druckenmiller was 10-of-19 for 88 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Navy (2-2) managed just 209 yards in total offense against the stubborn Hokie defense, which posted its first shutout since an 18-0 win over Vanderbilt in 1989.
