The Hokie football team scrimmaged Saturday, March 29th, and QB's Bryan Randall and Marcus Vick combined to go 15-of-19 for 192 yards and a touchdown. The highlight of the scrimmage was a beautifully-thrown 50 yard touchdown pass from Vick to wide receiver Chris Shreve.

The scrimmage was a 40-play scrimmage that took place between the 30-yard lines. The first-, second-, and third-team offenses went up against the first-, second-, and third-team defenses in five-play sets of various combinations of offenses and defenses. Randall led the first-team offense, and Vick led the second-team offense.

Randall went 8-of-11 for 81 yards, while Vick was 7-for-8 for 111 yards, with Vick's only incompletion being a drop by DeAngelo Hall. Ten different players caught passes, led by Shreve with two catches for 55 yards and the day's only touchdown.

In the running game, six different tailbacks carried the ball, with Mike Imoh toting it four times for 20 yards. DeAngelo Hall added a 10-yard reverse, with Randall running the option once for a 4-yard loss and Vick running the option once for 5 yards.

Defensively, cornerback Garnell Wilds had four tackles, and rover D.J. Walton and tackle Isaac Montgomery had three apiece. Nathaniel Adibi and Darryl Tapp shared a sack of Randall, and Noland Burchette sacked Vick. Free safety Jimmy Williams broke up a pass.
