Turkey Bites

Busy night Monday night, folks, so I didn't get to listen to the weekly radio show. There are some things I can tell you at this point that a lot of you might already know about, particularly where the injury situation is concerned. The Tech coaching staff said that Oxendine will be back for the Syracuse game, as well as Tony Morrison, who missed the Rutgers game with a mild sprain. T.J. Washington came up lame in the RU game with what looked like a fairly serious injury, but he was standing and walking without any pain after the game, and he will be back for Syracuse. So with the exception of Marcus Parker, whom I haven't heard about yet, the Hokies will be at full strength.

I encourage you to go to my links page a lot this week and click on the "Syracuse On-Line Football" link that I have in the newspaper section. That link is one of the better links on the page, and it's full of stories from a number of Syracuse newspapers, not just one. So check it out to get a feel for the SU mindset going into the Tech game.

The only early line that I've seen on the Syracuse game has SU favored by 2. I like that - I don't agree with it, but I like it. It's a slap in the face to our Hokies, WHO HAVE THE LONGEST CURRENT WINNING STREAK IN THE NATION, and I hope they use it for motivation. The Syracuse game is important enough, and intriguing enough, that I'm going to devote an update of "My Opinion" to it later on this week.

Speaking of games, my analysis of the Rutgers game is posted, so check it out in the Game Analysis link (or the "Games" link under "Welcome to Hokie Central," for those of you who are graphics-impaired). See you back here later, when I actually have something to say!
