Issue #4 of the TSL Extra

TechSideline.com is pleased to announce that the latest issue of the TSL Extra is now available for subscribers to download.

Issue #4 is the First Annual Recruiting Issue for the TSLX. Ordinarily, that means player profiles and commitment lists, but since so much of that information was passed on out here in the free areas of the site, the TSLX takes a different approach to covering recruiting.

Here's just a sampling of what's available in this issue:

Inside the Numbers: Ranking the Recruits -- TSLX's monthly inside the numbers feature takes the recruiting rankings provided by SuperPrep, PrepStar, and Rivals.com and compiles them into one composite formula, ranking the VT recruits from #1 to #21.

Recruiting Do's and Don't's -- a short list of what coaches can and cannot do when recruiting players.

Ten Things Every Fan Should Know About Recruiting -- Coach Criswell of VirginiaPreps.com tells us all about rules, lies, and girls, and how they impact recruiting.

Pole-Sitting: A TSL Phenomenon -- TSL message board posters brave hunger, exhaustion, and the elements to bring the big-name recruits to Virginia Tech. It's a good thing liquor is allowed on top of the pole.

And More! -- there are four other articles, all wrapped up in a classy 26-page edition that you can download as a PDF and print, or read right on the web. You can also download the collectable "Pieces of a Championship" cover (shown above) that shows 19 of VT's 21 football recruits, and the Sears National Championship Trophy that they'll be gunning for in their time at Virginia Tech.

A TSL Extra subscription is $24.95 a year and comes with a 10% discount on all TechLocker.com purchase, plus access to every back issue of the TSLX (so far, that's almost 120 pages of Hokie-related reading!).

If you're a TSL Extra subscriber and want to access the latest issue, or if you're not and want to find out more, then check out our TSL Extra Info Page. The TSL Extra is a very important part of what we're doing here at TechSideline.com, and we hope that if you're not yet a subscriber, you'll sign up!
