DB Damian Sims Commits to Hokies by Will Stewart, TechSideline.com The Hokies have received their 17th commitment of the 2004 recruiting class, landing athlete Damian Sims from John I Leonard High School in Boca Raton, Florida. Sims played running back and defensive back for John I Leonard but is slated to play defensive back in college. Sims, who stands 5-10, weighs 180, and runs a 4.5 forty, is rated as a three-star player (out of five) by TSL. Sims also had offers from Kansas State and Ole Miss. He ran for 1,313 yards this past season, including averaging 200 yards per game during the second half of the season.
