Two More Commitments for the Hokies
by Will Stewart, TechSideline.com

Virginia Tech got two more commitments on Sunday, bringing the weekend total from the Hokie football camp to four commitments. The most recent commitments (joining Patrick Terry and Kwamaine Battle) are from two tight end/defensive end prospects: Andrew Lanier of Roebuck (SC) Dorman High School and Chris Drager out of Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills, PA.

At this point, TechSideline.com has verified the Lanier commitment with a Sunday afternoon flash update, and the Drager commitment was broken by Scout.com shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday night. TSL's Chris Horne will attempt to contact Drager on Monday (July 10th) and verify his commitment.

Lanier stands 6-5, weighs 235, and runs a 4.75 forty. He is described as a great blocker who also received interest from Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, and lately Virginia. Drager is very similar in size and speed, coming in at 6-4, 235, with a 4.8 forty. Drager has offers from VT, West Virginia, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Temple, and Kent State.

The Hokies now have seven verbals for 2007 recruiting class.
