Virginia Tech received a commitment from Episcopal (Lexington, VA) wide receiver Danny Coale, a 6-0, 195-pound speedster who ran a 4.42 forty at Tech's one-day football camp last weekend. That time, plus Coale's performance in one-on-one drills at the camp, led the Tech coaches to extend him a scholarship offer, and Coale accepted Friday. The offer was Coale's first, and he also received strong interest from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Virginia, and NC State. The Wolfpack was in the process of tendering an offer when Coale decided to commit to VT. Coale is the fifth commitment from Tech's camp last Saturday, and his verbal brings the count for Virginia Tech's 2007 recruiting class to eight. For comments from Coale on why he selected Virginia Tech, please see Chris Horne's TSL Pass recruiting update on Coale's commitment. Click
