Nubian Peak Commits
to Tech

Virginia Tech has received a verbal commitment from Pulaski County High
School star Nubian Peak.
Peak hails from Dublin, VA and he's being recruited as an
athlete by the Hokies.
Peak
is listed at 5-11, 190. He
plays tailback for Pulaski
County, where he ran for 1,349
yards on 158 carries in 2007.
He also had 11 receptions for 296 yards and scored 16
touchdowns. He was the River
Ridge District Player of the Year.
"Nubian has really increased his size and strength in the
weight room," Pulaski head coach Jack Turner said. "He is up to 190 pounds
now. I'm looking forward to a great senior season from him.
Peak grew up a Virginia Tech fan, and it didn't take him long
to make his verbal commitment after receiving an offer for his impressive
performance at Saturday's football camp in
Blacksburg. He also had a
scholarship offer from Ohio.
