DE Zack McCray Commits to Virginia Tech by Chris Coleman, TechSideline.com Brookville High School (Lynchburg, VA) defensive end Zack McCray showed up at Saturday's recruiting camp decked out in Virginia Tech gear, and he wasted no time in becoming the Hokies' ninth verbal commitment of the 2010 class. McCray is the #6 recruit in the state of Virginia in TSL's early in-state Top 10. He is a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com, and the #95 overall prospect in the country. He is also ranked the #9 weakside defensive end nationally. McCray chose the Hokies over a number of powerhouse programs, including Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Nebraska. In the end, he picked Tech over the North Carolina Tar Heels.
