Offensive Guard Matt Arkema Commits to Tech by Chris Coleman, TechSideline.com Virginia Tech's 2010 recruiting class is up to 10 prospects. Midlothian High School offensive guard Matt Arkema committed to Virginia Tech during a visit on Monday morning. He is the third offensive lineman to commit to VT. Arkema plays left guard for Midlothian, and he chose the Hokies over scholarship offers from Maryland, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and East Carolina, among others. He is rated the #23 prospect in the state of Virginia by TSL recruiting analyst Chris Horne. Arkema is 6-3, 290 and he's projected to play on the interior offensive line for Virginia Tech. He joins offensive tackle Mark Shuman and offensive guard Caleb Farris as Tech's offensive line recruits for the 2010 recruiting class. Stay tuned to TechSideline.com for more on Arkema's commitment.
